Social Services Department
Since its inception, Frontier Lifeline has been providing free and subsidized cardiac screening and treatment to the economically underprivileged sector of our society. Our Social Services Department streamlines the process of granting financial concessions. The department evaluates patients who require or request for concessions in their treatment packages, both as outpatients and inpatients. These patients are not only those who walk in but also those referred from other Institutions and doctors.
We have a strong and recognized tradition in extending all our services to the poor and needy. We are active participants in several government motivated schemes for poor patients to perform complex cardiac surgery at concessional rates; namely the
‘Idhayam Kaapom’ project and
‘Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme’
launched by the Tamilnadu Government. Children referred by the Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh Government also benefit from the quality cardiac care offered at concessional rates.
Our social service takes on an international flavor as we regularly offer concessions in the surgical charges of adults and children from other countries such as South American, Middle Eastern, African Countries etc.,
We would like to extend to you this opportunity to help the financially underprivileged children and adults, who are looking for donors and sponsors. They require your financial support to undergo life-saving procedures in order to resume a normal, happy and healthy lifestyle. So join us in our crusade to alleviate their suffering and put a smile back on their faces.
Individual counselling / Family Counselling is done for In-patients which involves one person (the counsellor) helping another person (the client) to work through some difficult or painful emotional, behavioural or relationship problem or difficulty during their treatment in the hospital.
Grief counseling - everyone experiences and expresses grief in their own way, often shaped by culture. One can expect a wide range of emotion and behavior associated with grief. Counseling may provide an avenue for healthy resolution. Grief counseling in frontier believes that grief is a process the goal of which is "resolution."
Ward Rounds - Bed to bed rounds bring closer to the patients, the relatives and the hospital staff. They enable the social worker to anticipate the problems related to their illness or disease that patients may have to face. Bedside counseling smoothens away many of the patient's / relatives' worries and fears before they assume overwhelming proportions.
